This is a highly under rated vehicle. We love it. We owned a 2004 4Runner prior to purchasing this. The reliability on the 4Runners (at least for us) has been great. Vehicle is on a truck frame so the ride is little different than a crossover but it is not an issue to us at all. We love that the rear window goes up and down. Controls are easy. The one thing, the 4WD selector is in a weird place, right next to the front cup holder. I think a better place would have been next to heat controls, more out of the way. Head room with sun roof is a about 1" less than our older model, but so far not an issue. Backup camera is nice to have. Engine has plenty of power. We have noticed the mileage is 1-2 MPG lower than our old model and whats rated but we live in a very cold climate and maybe it needs to be broke in also. We are seeing 19 MPG HWY & 16-17 average. Not sure we will monitor and see what changes come summer. Seats are comfortable, ride for us is quiet. View area is clear, A-pillars are not overly obstructive.…

Had a Grand Cherokee (Limited) and several recalls with so/so reviews later I decided to try the 4Runner. Love it! Fits like a glove, I'm only 5'5" so that's really important to me. Can see out of it easily with great visibility. No worries about reliability or excess tech going wonky. Smooth on paved roads and amazing on trails and off road. Yes it's not as "smooth" as a crossover but it is not based on a car platform. It has more than enough power and the engine isn't taxed like most 4 cylinders either. It will hold it's value better than any of them as well. All and all totally satisfied with the TRD Off Road 4Runner!…
    • It's Excellent At What It Is

The 2022 Toyota 4Runner is a body on frame SUV with a solid rear axle and independent front suspension. Tied to it is a tried and proven Toyota mill in the 4.0L V6 and the venerable 5 speed AT. If you have driven a 4Runner of any generation in the 4x4 V6 variety, this vehicle will provide no surprises. Being built alongside the Land Cruiser in the Aichi plant in Japan, the build quality surpasses expectations. If you are looking for a solid, reliable daily driver that can handle any weather condition or terrain (tire dependent), this is the vehicle that will never let you down. I purchased a SR5 Premium with 3rd row in Nautical Blue. This is a excellent combination that provides real world utility combined with off road prowess that beats competition like the Wrangler and Telluride directly at their respective weaknesses. A true total package vehicle. An everyman's Land Cruiser. There is a reason for the sizable sales figures. This vehicle provide unparalleled value to the consumer in the form of high resale and demand. Long term depreciation is essentially non-existent. Have you seen what 20 year old 4Runners sell for? Expect nothing different. That phrase is a microcosm for this SUV. Tried, True, and Proven.…
